What are the differences?

I'm thinking of converting mine.

These are 125bhp right? Do they see good gains off fitting a inlet manifold such as the X14/16XE engines?

Take it it's custom mounts, shafts etc?

X18XE is a big block and not much use for a Corsa

X18XE1 is a small block, sits on the standard sport mounts with the standard box, shafts etc. I believe they respond better to tuning than the X14/X16s although I'm not 100% on that bit.

Oh great! So it's just a case of sourcing a loom and engine? Cheaper conversion than I thought!

you need the ECU, key and tranponder too

More bhp as standard, newer engine, easy & cheap conversion, small block so handling isn't compromised, more tunable. Lots of reasons

I'd just rather drive the car up to you, leave it up there, and drive it back as a 1.8 tbh...

Having no licence would make it a mission to find a engine..
