I know they is a few vag people here! But anyway cut to the chase..
Just got a Mk3 Golf 1.9 tdi, Only problem is, can only set off in 1st and 2nd. Can not find any other gears..
Am guessing its gear linkage, shouldn't be box as it still drives.
How easy and what do i need to sort this?
Before all you corsa owners say go to a vag forum, i still own a corsa b

don't some of them have a little bit of plastic that breaks, costs pence and quite an easy fix.
am sure i remember a mate going on about this, he got a cheap mk3 because the owner thought it was something major

Ah right, probably a different issue then from the sounds of it. I know mine and other vag cars of a certain era had a problem with a plate in the clutch pedal snapping and literally having no clutch. Happened to my car. Sure it happened to someone on here too, maybe Neo iirc.
