I dont think they handle that bad tbh considering how big they are.
Went well aswell, bout 8 secs to 60? had a lovley noise for a derv aswell! Ride was a tad firm though, but i only think thats because you assume something big like that to be really soft and bouncy!

my mate has a 55 plate 3.0 petrol, its nowhere near as juicy as you would expect, it averages at 20ish to the gallon which i think is pretty good for its size,
my 3 series with the same engines average wasnt much more than the x5 around22-23 mpg,,
a well spec'd auto is a good car imo
