Need some help finding a classic film. lol ( worth a shot )

Inset i think its either 70-80-90s

its about a young lad wanting to buy a jaguar, and he sees one which is in red, and when his got it the car sales man has swaped the engine over from his jag, into the red one.

Film set in austraila, its a long shot, but can any one help?
