Powerbox, people who haven't ran them will moan about the powerband being to high, just combine it with a janspeed 4-2-1 manifold and the powerband will be at 3500rpm to 7000rpm+ which is very useable.

I thought lexmaul was just a brand of powerbox lol. If u mean lexmaul or replica get the lexmaul because the replicas seem to have fair few issues

Lexmaul is a direct replacement for the upper inlet, and can be put back to standard extremely easily. That's the major advantage of the Lexmaul.
there are no replicas of Lexmaul inlets, as far as I am aware, due to them being cast and retaining the standard location for the throttle body.

ive read up that the main restictor on these engines, is the air flow, purely because it has to travl around the engine before it actually gets in. IMO the powerbox is far better, yes its harder to fit, but i honestly think it has much better gains and you can feel it much more than the lexmaul.

I haven't driven a car with a powerbox, but mine used to have a Lexmaul. I could definitely feel the difference, and would probably agree that the powerbox is the best for power gains.
However, as I stated earlier, the reason I chose the Lexmaul was its simplicity in fitting, and the fact that I could return it to standard extremely easily when I sold on the Lexmaul.

Powerbox everytime.
if your after some power, ARP's and raise the rev limit. But even as standard the pull to the rev limit very well.

yes well i agree again, i have a 4 branch, and a raised rev limit ECU. it limits out at 7200, and with the powerbox, it pulls hard and fast all the way. i once drive my mates sport with a lexmaul, it just feels like it dies of power top end of the revs like standard engines. but as said, this is my opinion, others may be different, i just prefer the powerbox.

Lexmaul everytime.
Dont need to doanything but bolts it on, cant compare it to a powerbox with a raise limiter etc as youll be spending more money.

It all depends how you drive, if you like reving it high go for the Power box, but if you like low down grunt get a Lexmaul. I don't see the point with not ranging a 16V. May as well buy a Diesal, if you want low down grunt

I love my powerbox pulls like a trooper from 4kish upwards!
All comes down to how you want the power to be delivered. If you want more low down grunt go for the lexmaul. Or if you want more top end power for when you're giving it some go for a power box.

My lexmaul pulled from about 2500rpm up to the limit, smoother rise so saves tyres aswell
I didnt like the thought of moving throttle bodies around, replacing arp rods, raising limiter and how gash powerboxes look.
Like everyone says is depends on what you want, daily driver the lexmaul wins hands down or drive on the limiter everywhere and fill up on fuel three tmes a week then power box is what you want

Iv had both, Both have their possitives but for drivability id go for the lexmaul. Dont have to sit with the revs high up to feel it pull then.

Mine pulled smoothly to red line, i think alot of people think they are not as powerful because the power is delivered so smoothly where as the power boxes deliver a punch at top end. The lexmaul can add from 15bhp to 20bhp (dependant on other mods ei exhaust manifolds and filter etc)
Also compare the fitting guides for the two inlets aswell
Thats what swayed it for me in the end.
