Yeh and they didn't stay on for long - I actually fitted them just for shows 1 year
They don't sit quite the same as proper SRi's do. They look convincing enough to most people, but they were near enough lethal to use on a daily driver!

Yeah they don't sit quite the same as proper SRi's as they stick up like you said. To average Joe they'll probably be close enough though
For example:

they just look like m3 mirrors rather than replica sri's. i had m3 mirrors at one point and they pointed up just like those.

yeah on the replica's the glass on the passenger side you can't see anything out, i think they have US glass in them or something
i had the real SRi wing mirrors at one time and sold them on
real ones fitted
then bought the replica mirrors they have blue tinted glass look 99% the same but sit different but hard to tell the difference so i kept them i lived with the glass problem, perhaps a UK M3 wing mirror glass would fit the mirror?
also worth noting these replica mirrors are much more secure, they have lots of screws which is good, far better than the real SRi wing mirrors that can easily be ripped off and sold on ebay one of the main reasons why i sold them
