Need two new tyres.
Budget - £80-£85 per tyre
Size - 205/40/17
Been looking at pirelli p zero nero (they come standard from ford) and Uniroyal rainsports (slightly out of budget but had them before and they were good) Have Avon ZZ3 on at the minute and they have been ok, do require something quite hard wearing though.
Any other suggestions?

Maxxis.
No body seems to rate them but ive had them on every car ive had for the past 3 years and they are excellent. Great grip in the rain and dry and really hard wearing. Think the ones ive got now have gone down just short of 1mm in 7500 miles! I paid £40 a tyre for 195/45/16 aswel.

I'm in the same boat. Currently looking at:
Falken FK452s
Goodyear EAGLE F1 Asymmetrics
I've been told to check out:
Hankook Ventus V12 Evo
Vredestein ULTRAC SESSANTA

Most places should keep them in stock. Dont go to quik fit or anywhere like that go to a proper tyre place. A lot cheaper, more tyres in stock and dont scratch your wheels! lol If you go down at 9am if they havent got one in they'll have it by afternoon if they are any good.

I've just fitted Avon ZZ3's to the Mini and they seem pretty good tbh. Were only about £63 per tyre from camskill too.

Always makes sense to match them up where possible - I only needed to runflats on the rear of the Mini, ended up ditching them and replacing with normal tyres all round so they all matched

Ive recently put on Hankook Ventus V12 Evo and I must admitt they seem the bollocks. Previously I religiously bought Eagle F1 GSD3's, but they have stopped making them and the new Asymmetrics look gash. Will now be sticking to the Hankooks.
