Yeah but some of them have a pressure release valve that needs turning every now and again... when i moved into my house, i had to do mine nearly every day cos the pressure kept going so had no hot water...
few months later, sat in the front room, water started dripping from the ceiling, went upstairs, pulled carpet up, long behold... a big hole in the central heating pipe, looked like a nail hole and someone tried to cover it up. plumber in, new pipe. never had to do the pressure since cos obviously it was escaping through the hole.

pressure should stay constant, you shouldnt have to mess with it

if it drops you have a leak.

if it rises then the filling loop valve is slightly passing, in which case it would blow off every few hours

HOWEVER keep in mind that the pressure will rise when the heating is on becasue as the water heats up in the system it expands so the pressure will rise, it will drop again when it cools

when the boiler is cold you idealy want the pressure between 1 - 1.5 bar may well go up to 2 - 2.5bar when operating

if it goes over 3 it will discharge
