Hi I'm new here, I have a problem with my Corsa 1.2 sxi, the car rev's fine while it's out of gear but when going in 4th or 5th gear it won't go passed 3 1/2 to 4 thousand rev's? any help would be appriceated, Thanks Nath.

What speed is that? My first guess is that you don't have enough power to go faster?

If the clutch was on its way out, it would rev more, not less.

it happens around 50-60 doesnt matter, put it this way my ass was twitching going past a caravan lol,

thanks for the help. think i will thrash an airflow meter on to it, and see if it makes any defference

I wouldn't suspect air flow unless you have an engine management light. When was it last serviced?

My car does the same too and it wont go any higher than 80mph at all and the engine light comes on too. Ive replaced the AFM,Lambda and the EGR valve and i dont know what else it could be Ive tried it on diagnostics kit and it keeps showing up as lambda fault but it cant be that

Unplug the afm and drive it if it drives ok then its that . Happened on my car and it was the afm

yes the light is on, im going to have it tested friday, i will post the results in hear. hope it helps
