Looking to spend between 2-4k. Want something a bit different, 1.8 tops. Running out of ideas what to look for. Car is merely going to be a toy.

can't class a 1.8 mk4 astra as a toy surely?

I've driven a standard one and i wasn't that impressed, but i guess a few tweaks can make all the difference.

wouldnt bother with an astra, lot of better things out there TBH. could possibly pick up an AE86 for the top end of your budget and insurance is cheap on them
