I'm trying to sort out some new wheels for me Fabia VRS once I've lowered it.
I have been offered some D90s and Twists, but obviously the PCD is different. You can purchase adaptors easily enough, but I wondered what the long term implications were i.e. stress along the axle/hub etc.
I do around 200 miles a week and I don't want to cause serious problems further down the line.
Any advice would be great!
The car in question:

My mates got Porsche wheels on a Corsa, another has Porsche wheels on an Ibiza, another has AMG wheels on his Golf, all with hub adaptors, no problems to report at all.

Had no problems when i've run D90's and 928's.
I'm sure you'll find the same answer on Edition 38. Suppose the best course of action is to just keep an eye on things, making sure they don't work loose.

Cheers, that's what I wanted to hear. Presumably, as long as everything fits flush and tight, there's not more strain than normal.
I'll probably post a couple of wheel photos up later to get opinions too. I think because the Fabia body is relatively 'bland', if the wheels are too flashy, they draw attention to them too much, so I'm thinking D90s would be a bit more 'subtle'.

Only thing I can see them doing is going through wheel bearings faster than normal!

That does look smart, I think you've just made my mind up for me. There's still something telling me that D90 would stay with the subtle look more?
I quite like to Azev A's too for a more standard look

d90's look too old, will probably stand out more than the twists because theyre too much of a different style. but tbh ifyou want subtle put octavia rims on, not look-at-me-porsche rims

You may stress the wheel bearings a bit more, but nothing drastic. The bearings do go sometimes on the fabia/ibiza anyway
D90's won't suit the straight lines of the Fabia, they do work well on the curvy early Mk4 ibiza's though.
