I keep getting this pop up, like every 15 seconds. As soon as i clear it, its back again.
Im running ChkDsk atm.
Oh. Its been happening since Roots gay "Speed up your internets" thread crashed my computer.

It won't have finished and it can't run properly when you are in windows.
start, run, cmd, chkdsk /r, it'll ask do you want to do it on next reboot, select yes then reboot.

That doesn't really do anything, the /r repairs faults.
It may be unrelated but if it's suggesting that it's worth a try first.

Might be a good time to create a backup, if you are gettin back sectors its the start of things to come.
Unless you dropped the computer, then this will have damaged the area where the heads hit.
9 times out 10 bad sectors only happen to places where the important files are.

ChkDsk /r fixed it
For now anyway. Ive not dropped it or anything, it happened after the computer had a spaz (at roots thread) and i had to hit the power button
HDD shouldnt go tits up this early, should it? Its only a year or so old computer.

Sometimes you can get duff batches so dont take it that a drive isnt going to pop on you.
