He was stopped for driving erratically and only stated their was a suspicion of drink driving, If he had been drink driving the statement made by the police would have put emphasis on the fact that he had been charged, And if he hasn't been charged by now or DD then I think we can assume he wont be getting charged for it.

Love the quote from the person whose garden they crashed into:

"As a pensioner I could do without this. I am angry as I have only just done up my garden and within a few weeks of doing it this happens"

Can just imagine them waking up, seeing the car and going "Oh ffs, i really dont need this, I've just finished my bastarding garden!"

no doubt they were ragging the car and lost control.

They'll say the car was dangerous in some way or something though

Thats the new law thats being enforced, if your caught drink driving we smash your motor up for you to teach you a lesson

They were suppose to look after the car not drive it so they should get fucked for it.

yea just because he was arrested doesn't mean he was charged or is guilty, as i said before if it had been determined the original driver had been drink driving they would highlighted the fact Don't you think?

It's not uncommon for people to be arrested/Taken to a police station because a driver's sobriety can't always be determined at the side of the road, It could also be a case that he was arrested on suspicion of drink driving purely due to his erratic driving, Happens quite often if an officer simply wants a driver off the public roads.

True point. I'm just thinking how fucked one of us would be if we'd done that, but I imagine as they're Police they'll get away with a slapped wrist.

hardly theft if they're seizing the car? See them driving cars that have been taken off people all the time on police interceptors and all that.

Bit different moving a car off a main road compared to stacking it into someone's garden cos you wanted to see what an Evo went like

I love the wording too, the car then collided with two front gardens. 'They just came out of nowhere boss'

it's common practice for an officer to drive a seized vehicle back to the local station as it saves having to wait with the car for it to be collected/leaving it unattended meaning the officers can carry on doing thier job protecting the public :tumbs:

Quite obvious they were being a bit over exuberant whilst driving the EVO tough which they shouldn't be doing

So if the owner drives it like that, they get done for DD.

HAHA Shit jockey, get back in your astra diesel, and do some one for parking on double yellows or maybe 33 in a 30.

by the way i read that the traffic cops had arranged recovery of the vehicle then left it with the 2 constables. who had decided to take it for a quick spin.....

i would also try and claim theft as it is improper use of the vehicle. thos 2 will lose their jobs over it and the bloke will get a new evo courtesy of my tax/nat insurance

Would be interesting to see whether they were allowed to drive it. While they do sometimes drive after a seize, there wouldn't be a recovery on the way if that were the case.
