had to bleed the brakes on escort after i fitted new pipe and caliper, thought i'd leave it and do it today.
went out today, expecting it to take 15mins, ended up being nearly 5hrs
wasn't getting fluid out of one nipple and the other side not much either, and the caliper was slow to return. Worked out it must be a blockage and had to work out where then unblock it. Had all the flexipipes off and had to check for flow at every union
got me thinking though, i reckon a garage would of just replaced parts inside of working out its blocked or being bothered to unblock it

nah, i found it to be the guides on shock that hold the flexipipe had rusted and tighted around the hose.
such a simple thing, but i bet it must happen to loads

difference between a mechanic and a technician, a technician replaces faulty parts, a mechanic fixes the faulty part!

this is the exact reason i don't usually do any mechanical work on my cars.
it usually ends up with me having bloody fingers/freezing cold and pissed off.

Removing the wiper arms It took somewhere in the region of an hour, first time I've ever had to use a hammer to remove wiper arms
