Right, someone nicked my mates laptop and sold it to one of those cash converter places. We have the buyback slip withthe name on it (he was a "friend") but it's passed the buyback date. We've not contacted the place yet because we've just got the slip.
Can we go in and get it back if they still have it? Obviously police are being informed, but what legal rights do we have??

I had my Specialized Enduro stolen by a "friend" about a year ago as it was left at his house, found it in cash generator's told the police and had it returned.

Any serial numbers? does she have the original receipt/invoice?
