Right boys

My megane is needing new tyres, and i cant decided which ones to put on it. Ive been on megane sport, and everybody rates something different, so its really hard to choose. I dont want to spend 600 quid on a set and then find them not very good, so i think its a hard decision to make.

I dont want to choose the wrong ones, and spoil the handling, or it not be able to grip when its on boost etc, so what do you lot recommend for you performance cars?

Currently has Goodyear egle F1 235 40 18! People on megane forum dont seem to rate them that much though, yet i think they are good (just dont last long), so im after a good allrounder!

Cheers

i had vredestein ultrac sessanta's on the focus which were so much better then the continental sport contact 3's.

they are cheap compared to all the other brands but don't think that they are shit because they worked well in all weather and have a nice tread pattern aswell.

Somebody mentioned the vredestien (never heard of them though), so they might be worth a punt, i will look into them. Didnt realise it would be so hard to choose. On my old corsa it was the cheapest one would do

I've tried Continental SportContact, find them brilliant. I only used Goodyear Eagle F1 on my Corsa. Just bought a set of those Kuhmo KH whatever for my missus Clio. Super cheap, doubt they will be amazing though.

conti are quite soft. wear down quick. id not want avons tbh. very plastic and shite. zv5 slightly better but zz3's are fair poor. falken 912 are similar price mid range to avon and vastly superior.

i dont rate toyo at all.

A friend on facebook just sent me a link to renaultsport.co.uk?....and they recommended these for the 225 with cup packs/F1 (mine).

I type them in on ebay, £198 each for 235/40/18.....he send me a link to this...http://www.camskill.co.uk/products.php?plid=m61b0s134p50381

£105 each. Bargain, think i will be going for these.

Ben, tried the verdestein ones on there and they were more, so i think i will just go for the dunlops if they are in stock.

Thankyou please peoples.

KU31s are being phased out, might struggle to get them. Not sure what Kumhos replacement is.

Yep good tyres, wear very well on powerful FWD cars and brilliant in wet and dry.

I pay £105 each for 225/40/18

I have sworn by Eagle F1 GSD3's but since they have stopped making them I now use Hankook Evo V12. Excellent Tyre wet or dry!

Shame really as they're superb - they should keep them going and make a mint. Unless the newer ones are better.
