even rotten diesel ones fetch good money, Id rather have a V8 anyway.

Looks like it did 21mpg on the way back,

You could get a graph of petrol vs diesel, but the actually mileage would prob be about 10000 miles before the diesel works out cheaper.

Plus for those 10000miles you would not get 4500 rpm V8 noise.

Assuming the car is a grand cheaper - it actually was.

Assuming petrol does 18mpg and diesel 28. It's probably more like 20/26.

Do less than 10000 miles = cheap car.

my dad nearly had a disco as a company car. he turned it down, couple of hundred miles later the engine fell out

well after cruzing the beast last night i can say the the engine is firmly in place.

And its a good job the A3 dose 40MPG and i do over 16K miles a year or i would be getting a Disco
