Apparently the Samsung Galaxy tab is much better than the Apple iPad.
Opinions?

Both a complete waste of time without a proper OS.

As an iPad owner, personally I think the Samsung is too small and has a weird resolution.
For web browsing (which is what most people are going to use it for) the res is all wrong. You can't use it landscape because you'll only see the top third of a site without scrolling, and in portrait the size is too small and you'll have to zoom in.
If nothign else, the iPad screen size is perfect.

I have a netbook at the moment but I really want to replace it with some kind of tablet system hence my question really.
I had a quick play of the iPad when I was at Best Buy the other day but I'm not sure if I like it or not (and especially as it doesn't support Flash).

What do you do that requires flash (thats not a wind up, its a serious question) Having don't lots of browsing on my iphone and a friends iPad I have so far only once needed flash (trying to view videos on the BBC1 sports pages.
What do you use your machine for. If you use it for lots of documents/spreadsheets then I would stick to a laptop/netbook.
Personally I would go for the iPad due to the developer support it has. I wonder what the OS upgrades are going to be like on the tab as well. I know on the phones upgrading can be a nightmare due to all the skinning and the manufacurers not bothering to supply updates. This is not good on such a fast moving OS.

Lots of porn sites use Flash video players though
seriously though, I'd only use it for web browsing, opening PDFs/.DOCs/.XLSs etc. occasionally.
I know YouTube supports HTML5 OGG format videos as well as Flash video, but if I go to a website that some joker has decided to make entirely out of Flash then I'd be a bit stuck if on the iPad no?

You would be stuck - depends what kind of browsing you do. I've only been prevented from opening entire sites once in 6 months.
You do occasionally run across videos and stuff that don't open but I don't find it a problem. If I was constantly browsing loads of new/different sites it might be a problem.
