Why not Buy a 1.8 Corsa C that would work out cheaper and would also cost less to insure.

Would you be able to insure something faster?

e.g have you thought about the Z20LET instead of just a 1.8?

In fairness, doing an engine change when you can buy a car with that engine as standard, is a silly and pointless exercise.

Not always, I put a vts engine in my vtr, cost me £100 all in and took me a weekend. I liked how my car was and knew it was a straight shell etc.

id never pay someone to do a conversion if you could buy one ready from the factory.
i know its frowned on but i know a lot of people do conversions for cheaper insurance and tax etc
