Had the polo a week now and last week spent a bit of time tidying the paint up with a good polish; but the BBS wheels were really annoying me as looked liked this


Then a trip to homebase for a variety pack of wet and try; jacked the car up span the wheels and rubbed the lips back. Amazing results IMO
All look like these now



Then spray laquered with some i found in the old mans garage.

Then whilst on a role painted the 'I' on my GTi badge as had fadded; and fitted a few rubber around the grill.




Not a bad look all for under £10

I started of chipping the loose laquer off, then cant remember the grades but started with the roughest and worked my way down. As the car has a diff tho when you have both side jacked up if you press to hard you stop the wheel; so just had one wheel down it the end and car in first. Then as the grades get smoother increase the speed of the wheel. Took about 2 hours in all

Will give it a bash, worst case scenario they can go to the pros which was the plan anyway.
