I don't know about you mate but where I live most people kick about in low-mid spec golfs, clios, corsas, passats and other types of cars that your average XE corsa, 182 or type R would 'beat' easily.

Alan he was talking about cars in general. In the grand scheme of things a Clio182 isnt a fast car. It's average tbh!

on the average road of things, its a fast car though. not every car is a lambo or konigzegggg is it? most cars are mondeo's or toyota avensis.

My point exactly.

For example, if you put cars into classes going on their 0-60, you'd have far more in the 9-10sec bracket than the 6-7sec bracket. Getting fewer and fewer the furth down you go.

It's only people on the internet that say about fast cars being average. I don't want to be blowing my own trumpet and I'm in no way claiming that mine's a rapid motor but anyone that's been in it has thought it's pretty quick. Fair enough, they've maybe not been the likes of M3s, 911s and Enzos but in the real world to real people the likes of a 6 or 7 sec 0-60 car is going to be considered fast.

I'm not just aiming all this at you jake, it's the general opinion on this site.

Out of interest, what's the slowest car you'd class as fast? If that makes sense.

yeah I don't do track days or quarter miles. to me its pretty fast enough. I do want to keep my drivers license. haven't even been near its top speed in the 4yrs I have had it.

faster than any of my mates cars and also one of the cheapest. yet looks better condition despite having twice the mileage. I enjoy my car.
