going mad here listening to twats letting off fireworks.

i don't get why you would want to, in essence, set fire to your hard earned cash.

fair enough a bit of fun for the kids, but i've never seen the appeal myself.

Don't be such a kill joy. It's too expensive to do yourself but I enjoy it if you go to a big show.

I can see the appeal of big organised displays, but letting those shitty little fireworks off in your garden is wank.

I always remember as a kid my parents getting a box-set of fireworks. They were all shit tbh. They quickly agreed not to bother again

shows is fine. i enjoy paying a fiver or so and see about 50k's worth of fireworks set off in sequence.

watching a rocket go up, the waiting 5 minutes for the next one is quite boring, however.

Sounds like Basra round here.

All the local kids were sitting outside our neighbour's house screaming/yelling etc. watching the fireworks. No parents to be seen.
