Sorry to revisit this one, but I'm picking up a new 1.8Sri next month and am getting conflicting advice. I don't want to do any arch mods but want to fit some 7-17s with 205-40-17s. Demon Tweeks say no to ET45 and say 40 instead, but PVD say 45-49. You guys seem to suggest 45. In the words of Chris Tarrant, I'm after a final answer....

My 16s are et 45 aswell mate. (with 40 mm drop (LOW AS F3CK by the way!!!) it dont rub one bit.
Gonna get 17s as soon as i get rid of my 16s and the ones i'm gettin will be 45mm offset also. Ihtink its best if u try an stay to asa close to 49 as possible.

i got 17's on my corsa C and had it lowered 40mm and they are dare alloys so the ofset is arond 45 to 49 and it is 100% fine with no scrubbing even when hitting a bump at 70!
so dont be a wimp and go for 16's go 17 or go 19 like a guy on the r-tec website did
