Cars going into the bodyshop soon to have a dent on the front wing repaired and im having the bonnet and other wing sprayed for stone chips at the same time and to blend it all in
Only thing is im a bit reluctant to go do this just before winter when the roads are covered in grit and it will damage the paint again, yet i want to get the car sorted asap as its went on for ling enough now. Dont really want the wing exposed to salt etc either as may get corrosion with the paint being damaged?
Always used to hate the look of bonnet braa but im now actually thinking of getting one to protect my paint. Looked at the autobra one on ebay, anyone had any good or bad experiences with bonnet bras or reccomend one?

I'd get that clear plastic protective film instead

X2. Bonnet bra's can easily cause more damage than good.

if you get a bonnet bra you must remember to wax the bonnet before application and its best to take off the bonnet bra weekly wash it and wsh the car and re wax thats what i do with mine and its never been a problem. The underside of the autobras are fleece lined. The instructions do state this from auto bra but i know cheaper ones like van x just come with basic fitting instructions
If you use them properly they serve their purpose very well and i think on the right car they look great

As I said on the other forum, I just put mine on for motorway journeys (and trackdays) and its fine  Only takes 30secs to put on, so start the car and whack it on while its warming up a bit.
