had me sport since jan now its startin to burn oil more thwn when first bought now think i am goin to sort it soon
pos after crimbo it will be gettin done

goin recon the head all new valves stem seals port polish skim
goin do rings
head gasket set

and few more mods like remove aircon pump only thing left of aircon now



was wonderin weather changin the cams for some c16xe cams out of a gsi would make any difference
and wot else could i change to gain power of different engines

also goin fit uprated inlet to it

C16xe head has bigger ports, so you'll see a few ponies from that.

Ps. I'd do a wet and dry compression test to see if it's not the piston rings that are gone.

Its hardly worth it though.

Do a bit of work on the head, and port match the inlet, Best of going for a XEL head then anyway.

C16 Cams are no different.

I have a ported head with bronze guides etc sat here also have 300 degree cams and solid lifters....

I worded it wrong lol, If you done the same work to a XEL head it would be even better.

Triangular ports, Compared to a worked C16XE head it flows a bit better. See SBD for proof.
