G'morning peeps.

Has anyone traded in a car with a high value with a dealer for a car of lower value with them obviously giving you cash your way?

Or has anyone inquired about it and got a stupid offer etc?

350 isn't selling and its a shame to have it sitting on my drive

Thanks!

I was thinking about this once and decided they wouldn't do it because what's the benefit to them?

They make money on the car you buy...and your car when they sell it on...

John - It's getting that way

A2H That one is an import, they usually go for less than a UK spec.

Definately a bit cheeky!

The easiest give away is if it has square plates. but obviously if you change the bumpers etc it becomes harder to tell. I think the majority if not all of the jap ones are autos. Dont usually come with brembo's or the RAYS wheels either.

Interesting, cheers.

Good luck with the sale btw. Maybe its not selling because of muppets like me buying imports thinking they've got a good deal

Cheers

Imports can be a good deal though, there are some very good spec ones out there Nothing muppet like about it at all, essentially its the same car for less

I sold my Astra GSi to a private dealer about 3 years back. Paid me cash, had no issues.
