Hi, i have a 1.6 sport with A/c and p/s and want to change the alternator belt, how do you remove the engine mounting? Cheers

put a jack on the sump with a block of wood on the jack, undo the 2 bolts on the left hand side of the mount, by the rubber, drop the jack down a bit and you should be able to get belt off then

Nice one cheers. i take it, to fully remove the mounting fully its two bolts into the engine and 4 torq's on the chassis leg?

think on the e gine to remove mount and pump etc its about 3 torx, but you dont need to remove it to do aux belt

you dont need to remove the engine mount all you need is a 13mm spanner i think and just move the tensioner the take belt off

I'm pretty sure by looking at it Combat corsa that the belts routed through the engine mounting.

i will have a look 2 moz lol i colud swear that its not as i never took the mount off 2 do the cambelt lol but may be wrong was along time ago

this was the reason i took a/c and pas off my x16xe, changed the mount to one without both and it looks so much cleaner and tidier

Yup you have to drop the mount. Its an arse of a job tbh. Got rid of the a/c on mine coz the compressor was shagged and changed the belt at the same time
