Had the wheels painted this week and I've taken the wind deflectors off because one of them was whistling and doing my head in.
Its up for sale now but not getting a huge amount of interest. A lot of money for someone to have lying around at this time of year I suppose.

I had not one bit of interest for mine (i think I might have had a stupid swap email actually) until the guy that bought it came to see it.

Yup 150bhp one.. The Corolla in the background is the replacement believe it or not.
John I always get a bit stressed selling cars but always seem to get them sold in the end so not too fussed. Not in any rush so not hugely fussed.

Just general a to b car for the other half. I'm buying a kit car once the astras gone. Corolla is amazing, 50k from new and is an SR so good spec. A lot of car for not much money.

More pics of corolla tbh.
I usually sell cars about 2-3 weeks after advertising.

Nah it turned out to be my imagination.. Done 4k miles on new box and its spot on.
Its up for £8995 but I'd take a bit less. If it doesn't sell for close to that we'll just hold onto it. Not losing thousands for no reason.

No pics of that till its got 17s on it and a hefty bit of lowering. It looks a bit OAP at the moment.

I've been looking at kit cars recently as well. But I'm always looking at something else anyway What sort are you going for? Indy's are quite cheap it seems! Megablade's don't look shy either

Can't see the pics at work but last time i remember the wheels were black. If you've had them re-done anyway id have done them silver. Also would take the springs off and sell them seperately.
I sold my 1.9 150 within a few days of it going on ebay for more than i wanted to the first person that came to see it, and it wasn't the best example tbf. Infact id be amazed if it was still on the same gearbox now.

Yeh they are silver now.. I've not advertised the fact its lowered so hopefully wont be an issue. Original springs are sitting in the garage so can be put back on if new buyer prefers.
Eck a Stuart Taylor Locoblade is looking like the choice at the moment but staying open minded about it, all depends on spec for money etc.

your asking top money for the car, which is fair
people looking for that sort of car, and spending that sort of money prefer to buy from garages and time of year isnt good to buy a car either
good luck though

Yeh I know its strong money but the same car is goijng to be 10k at a dealer and wont be as good. I'm almost positive you would struggle to get one in as good condition anywhere so I think the price is justified but as you say not a great time of year for selling.
We've agreed to try and sell it for next few weeks and if we have no luck then we are just going to keep it. We dont need the money and I'll still buy a kit car, it just wont be this year,

The car currently has a small amount of finance attatched to it which will be paid off as soon as a deposit is paid. This will take a matter of minutes so dont let this put you off. I do not want to pay this off till I know the car is going due to other commitments at the moment.
that will be putting people off imo.
i done the same with my focus. some people get scared as they've heard the horror stories and don't understand everything.

Yeh I know, I've got the money sitting to pay it off but I dont want to unless its definately going. If we keep it I'll just let the finance run its course.
I agree though, it is a bit of a negative unless you understand finance etc.
