Its no gonna cost you ££££ to get good reliable power, a few hundred will see 300 if your lucky, a new chip, manifold and a t34 after that and hello 350, probably cost 1k max for that inc a nice exhaust system

Turbo and N/A cars have a very different power delivery, Turbo low down grunt is nice, but I love the sound and instant respone of a N/A motor.

Which is why I'll be going back to N/A in the not too distant future. the Torque and effortless speed of a Turbo is great, but it's not instantaneous.

iv just put kms on my throttle bodied xev astra gsi and im now just shy off 200bhp at the fly with 161 at the wheels,

so im pretty sure a similar set up on an xe will see you hitting the 200 mark as there allready got a bit on the xev's as standard

i had 181bhp just with R1 bike carbs and no ecu.

With cams and a good manifold i think you will get good usable power.

Had it on one track day and it was ok but felt it was very heavy at the front but power if applied lightly pulled the car about nicley.

You can see 350 on standard internals, you dont even have to use arp bolts unless your reving past the standard limit, i just think you would enjoy a let more, or thats just me ofcourse lol

Ive had a bit sport in my clio against a corsa xe along a long straight. He was about 4 car lengths behind but neither of us were gaining so it was pretty neck and neck.
