So i've just bought some 2.0 16v ATE calipers. Just basically wondering what peoples recommendations for brake disc and pads are. Ideally i'd like some low dust throwoff ones as my polished dish on my OZ's don't like brake dust . I've heard mintex are fairly good for this? What're peoples thoughts?

Not sure what discs I have, they're 283mm though with Ferodo ds2500 pads.

I'd imagine OE discs/pads throw off a lot of dust though wouldn't they? My standard brakes at the minute leave my wheels looking black even after a short-ish run .

Maybe OE discs, definetely some sort of uprated pads though.

low dust is green stuff pads, they are ok at best.

as steve says you wont get decent pads that give off low dust. I run normal pagid oe spec discs and pads on my gsi and they seem ok for dust and they do stop the car.

I had OE V6 discs and pads on the corsa then switched to the black diamond pads, they definetely stopped the car better. Very dusty though.

Those are the one's i've been looking at jakey. They stop well then? and are they low dust like they say?

Obviously i'm not after stop on a penny track spec brakes as my car won't be used on track, just usual everyday driving and the odd spirited drive. As long as they stop well enough, the main thing i'm after is low dust to protect my dish.

I run ferodo DS2000 pads because they're cheaper than the DS2500.

I'm running EBC ultimax discs. They're ok but they squeal a little bit.

your best choice would probably be the
ferrodo ds2500, ive got them all around, they do throw alot of dust off tho,
didnt wash my car for 2 weeks in the summer and the sides of the car were brown from the pads


the ds2500 work good at low temps, but get some temprature into them and they have a sharp bite
