what engine? They are pretty dull, but pretty reliable. Don't expect it to be too exciting though.

The 1.8 is a decent engine, sounds like it will be what your after to be honest. They aren't bad and are cheap and easy to fix.

I've got a facelift B 1.8 sri saloon. It's got 130k and i've not had a peep out of it for 6.5k apart from brakes.

Pros: Reliable, relatively comfy, cheap

Cons: Pretty awful on petrol and the brakes are a bit scary tbh

Would have another if i needed another 5 door family wagon. Hopefully i wont need one for a while thou!

Are these really worth the same sort of money as a Corsa B van though?!

If not, surely it's a dog?

its weird rich. Mine is the cheapest ive seen on the net for sale. one went on auto trader for £1600 and it was exactly the same. there are 2 on ebay at the minute, one for £1500 and one for £1100. mines actually really tidy, the pictures do it no justice.

the sri i have been offered looks immaculate.

I'm surprised those vans hold their value so well then! I'm not disputing yours is a tidy example
I also thought Vectras fetched a bit more hence why I was suspicious at an offer of that sort - I should have checked values before commenting!

There common as muck though, so many about dont really hold any value. Im looking at getting one as my daily driver next year. Seem to be a fair whack of car for your cash.
