i saw that one jim and my brother likes them aswell. these are all great suggestions so ill get on ph and at with him tomorrow and see what he reckons

he wants to keep it dow to a 2.0 for insurance purposes

Pfft I travelled to Rochdale for mine and wales for my LCR

DC5 isn't really that great a car. There bloody big and ain't really that quick. The insurance will be high on them won't they as there import only???

I know it's a bigger engine than a 2ltr but the Mazda 3 MPS is a complete bargain just now.

Also the focus ST is good value but again it has the bigger engine.

Since when does engine size matter that much with insurance? Is he 17?

The main reasons that seem to be cropping up are location and if you've had performance cars before. At least this was the case with me and a few mates (btw i live in a nice area )
