My X16XE needs a new timing belt kit, head gasket kit and valve stem seals.
Obviously i want to save as much money as i can, but as the old saying goes 'you pay cheap, you pay twice'
I'm just wondering what brands you usually look out for when you're getting these sort of bits for your car? A timing belt kit from SAS Autoparts through my brothers work is about £90, same as it is from Euro Car Parts, but theres an FAI kit on ebay for about £60. Are they a decent brand? I'd pay the extra £30 if i have to, but just wondering what brands i should be avoiding? Cheers

I'd go for a gates kit. Used them on all my cars and never had a problem.

FAI is totally fine mate, that's what the motor factors up here give out. Literally no point in spending more if it's a standard engine.

Thanks for the help lads! I'll see what my brother says price wise tonight and see what brands they are, i don't think i'll be holding onto the Corsa too much longer so don't really want to be splashing out on it!
