Common being the operative word.

http://www.2000watches.com/vshop/brand_Oris/model_Oris+Williams+F1+Team+Team+Day+Date+2010/index.html ( i think this is the one Hammond had on in the iraq episode)

http://www.2000watches.com/vshop/detail_default/productid_325501/index.html

Something like that over any of the above any day.

£1,000 will get you a nice watch. But it isn't going to get you a watch that is "best ever present" in my honest opinion.

No need to spend so much money if he already has everything.

Send him up on a hot air balloon ride
That will be memorable.

£1000 for a preowned watch i think id be livid if someone spent that much money on me for a bloody watch .

what does it do different to say a £100 watch?..... nothing, for a grand id want it to be better than james bonds watches.

id suggest a weekend of activities he enjoys doing with the people he enjoys being around and get some decent pictures of it to remind him and make a album or something, that way spent a day/weekened with people he likes and has atleast got the memories/pictures to remind him.

but spending 1k on a watch is just stupid imo.

is this the brother who has the lambo?

if so, why would he want a watch? he probably has loads already.

an experience day of some sort is probably your best bet.
