if i push it dwn my boot catch opens but it has wires coming from it

Yes its a solenoid. The wires are the power for it and what the pulse from the switch comes down to work it

Aye thats a solenoid.
Wires will be for wiring it to a switch, seen a few people wire it to the rear wiper and just pushing the stalk back to activate the boot solenoid.

cheers guys. no one seems to want to but the boot so ill just get it sprayed and fittd now and yh i will wire mine to the back wiper leaver

I wanted to do this on my corsa but had a fear id hit it while driving and pop the boot open
