Redsnappers are highly recommended on talk photography.

i dont see what it would do any better then my "argos shite" it holds the camera still, adjusts in anyway needed, has several spirit levels on it for guidance

nothing else needed, i suspect you are the kind of person that spends £30 on a hdmi cable

take a look at my hdr thread, where lack of camera movement is vital

redsnapper imo.

argos ones are shit.

Steve, honestly try and take a long exposure night shot in anything slightly windy or where you havent set the shutter on timed release with an cheap tripod and it will not come out sharp.

They just arent sturdy enough at all, where as redsnapper/manfrotto are unbelievably sturdy and dont move at all.

i have done it a few times honestly my argos tripod is really sturdy, you set everything how you want then twist the center section and its pulls the whole thing together nice and tight

maybe you tried a diferent cheap one

I had a argos one with my bridge camera, it was ok, broke after a while though.
Got a decent velbon one for my dslr and it is ten times better.
