anybody had a ek4 vti? or know some one who has one? going to look at one at weekend and could do with a heads up on any common faults or things to look out for?

Check the electric windows a few times, the motors have a tendancy to be shite

Make sure that it engages Vtec when it should and dosnt burn a shit load of oil in the process.

had a ek4 vti,,gd cars,your get bored after a while tho, things to watch out 4 is windows has sed,, white/blue smoke on 'tec' .. check the oil isnt black as they burn oil easily as vtec run off the oil pressure.. also check body work as arches are quite common to go

rear arches rust inside out
rear subframes are weak so make sure if it has a thicker arb its got a brace too.
bushes turn to dust.
bolts snap in the rear control arms for fun
