3gb down to 500mb, doesn't seem to be clear at all from the forums whether everyone or only some will be affected.

It's the only reason I'm with them (that and it was cheap) I would have just stuck with o2 otherwise.

Hope it ends up with a get out of contract free card and I can go elsewhere.

It won't.

If you pay for the extra INternet on your Phone PLUS tarriff it'll go down to 1GB, otherwise 500MB

Going down to 1GB isn't good enough either, especially since I've still not had any notice.

To be fair, if you are using over 500MB of internet on your phone a month, I think your doing something wrong

Although 500mb isn't much, using over that isn't the issue, changing the t&c's like this is.

I have an exchange account, 2x google mail accounts, both checking every 5 minutes, bbc news and other bits and bobs running on my andriod phone 24/7 on 3G and I've never been warned about being over 500MB on o2.

Stream a few podcasts or a few videos and you'll be over that easily. I'm usually over 3GBs a month anyways, but luckily i have unlimited data.

John - Apparently T-Mobile are using clause 7.1.2, which states that they must give 30 days notice for T&C changes, to stop customers getting out of contracts.

Apparently it's only for new contracts according to a number of people who have phoned customer services.
Still it's a bit gutting for anyone who's recently signed up for the 3GB data limit....
