Just interested in this topic really, is it possible? In the past i've seen it where people have a custom exhaust/inlet manifold and have used an R5 GT turbo, but is it decent/reliable?
Does anyone know of anybody who has done this?
What parts would you need?

You can use corsa vxr exhaust manifold as they bolt straight up to the smallblock xe heads.

As above, Corsa VXR Manifold bolts straight up, You do have to run a remote oil filter with that though.
Courtney used to do conversions (Probs still do?), with custom exhaust manifold.
If your serious about doing it, And are mechanically minded, U2U me and I'll help you out.

the vxr manifold does fit but a remote oil filter will be needed and if memory is right the thermostat would need a modded hose as it will foul on the turbo inlet.
i have heard ppl to use a sr20det manifold cut the block side flange off.shortern primarys 1 and 2 by about 2mm and tig weld together and tig a new flange on for a c16/x16

No need to mod the thermostat to run the std inlet, but be coming out of the bonnet i think lol.
Custom is easy enough to make though.
Btw, Corsa VXR IC Will not fit a corsa B

Ah yeah fair enough. I wouldn't use that inlet section though, More hassle than its worth imo.

some nice feedback lads, cheers!
Im unsure if i'm serious about it yet, just something different to the same old c20xe/let, thats all! I was debating on slowly building up a c20xe overtime, but now im thinking more along the lines of a "c16xet", could be interesting!
I don't want to fork out for dblias stuff really, not when i know people who can help me with custom work
So std VXR inlet will bolt on, yes/no? Also, how would you go about running a remote oil filter?

Hardly the best thing to do though.
You can buy a Mocal remote oil filter kit on ebay, about £90 iirc.

Nah, i think i'd like to go for a turbo, i think a supercharger would be a right pain, too many modifications to be made!
