Forgot all about this thread, turns out it was a complete pile of rust, sold it on for a proffit and the chap who bought it has just spent £3500 on welding on it.

Was it deffinattly a 100% gte under all that ?? just wonder why the hatch had been replaced for a non gte coloured one so early in its years ?? and why the non gte alloys- or were these parts just put on temp for transport etc ??
lovely cars- owned one way back- TFS 308Y a red mk1gte, was one off the best cars I have ever owned. unfortunatly the mk2 gte that I had after that was one off the worst- well wasnt that bad but total rust bucket in the end with a faulty digi dash etc !!

It was a genuine gte yes, quite a bit of it was in primer when i had it including the boot, thats why it didnt have the sticker. And the wheels were what was put on when the previous owner got all the kit and origional wheels nicked. And in referance to the welding, what hasnt been done more like. Its had a complete new fron end including bulkhead, both new inner and outer sills, both rear quarter pannels and repairs behind them, complete new floor pans and repairs to A and B post, all panels all pannels have either been geniun vaux or custom fabricated, hence why its cost so much

Where did he get the quarters from as I know there not even available from uk or Germany. Same wil sills or bulkhead parts.
There is barley any metal panels left for them now anywhere genuine.

Quarters etc pop up every now and again, he was just lucky enough to find a pair, think he paid £450 for the pair tho. And bulk head/front end was used from another shell that he picked up. A 1.2 tho
