Anything with a turbo is more fun than a 182.

ive got a 172. Real hoot to drive. Its quicker than a corsa vxr, but id pick the corsa in a flash. Boost noise and 100x nicer that a clio sport.

Oli, i reckon you mistake the feel of a turbo kicking in for power.

without the turbo it would be like driving a mk4 1.6 escort calypso

mines not standard. And its had alot of shit ripped out of it. Its under a tonne in weight. And yes it probably is quicker than a 200.

so then its not really like for like then is it

A standard 172 or 182 is not faster than a VXR - I know this from experience

And the VXR is faster in most cases than a CTR - again from experience as my mate as a CTR

Fair enough if you've got one and you've had the real life experience of it. But I see type Rs as the closest thing, straight line performance wise, to a Corsa XE. But a Corsa VXR won't keep up with an XE which I've found out - from two different people, one being standard and the other being stage 2 Regal tuned iirc. But he was a terrible driver.

They're not all that fast imo.

alot of cars are really restricted when their standard imo, same as a focus st. They are poor until you fiddle with them.

Are astra cdti's smaller than vxr's?

Before you said astras are too big

5dr with XP kit same as Kanos old cdti, rear visibility is miles better than the 3 door & more practical.

I honestly think an old shape Clio 172 is more fun to drive than a Corsa VXR. And it won't be much slower either.
