anyone here good with windows 7?
Basically I have an ancient scanner which used to work under windows xp, there is no updated driver for it to work with windows 7, I have installed the windows xp driver but it's not working... is there any way to run it in compatibility mode or something? bloody windows!

Guessing you have google'd for windows 7 drivers for the scanner?
I have heard of people of installing the driver by setting its compatibility, ie: copy the driver to a directory (inf/dlls etc) - change the compatibility to XP on the inf and run as an admin. Can't say I’ve ever managed to get XP drivers to install correctly though, so it'd probably be easier to pc world it and get a £20 jobby.

yeah I have been searching with very little luck, I may just have to go buy myself a new all in one or something as I need a new printer anyhow.
