Morning guys.
For a new business project im doing, i need to take pictures of clothing. I dont want to spend a fortune on a pro doing it, but want something to look ok.
Whats my best options? Its all trousers/shirts/jackets/boots etc etc
I have a manaquin i can use, and also an empty cellar in one of our shops i can use.
I have no experience or equipment. So what do i need?

Haven't done it myself, but for a complete budget shoot i'd imagine something like, white bed sheets, and a few lamps would be the absolute basics?
(that's my suggestion until one of the pros comes in here and tells you how to do it properly)

Megapixels doesn't matter, but the items being well lit does.
In an ideal world you'll want a full length white or grey paper background (sheets are ok, but you have to put so much light on them to hide the creases/folds). Couple of white lights in front of the product left and right, and another couple of lights behind the product to light the background.
Simple, but for proper lights not cheap

No idea on cost, I've always used ones already installed in studios.
If I remember I'll find a diagram when I get back to the office.

Something like this Dan
Mannequin in the middle, lights on the background and lights on the mannequin to stop all shadows etc

Them lights look expensive. Can i not use like spot lights u have in ya garden on a tripod :/
How good of a camera would i need :/

That's what I was thinking 
Regular lights are unlikely to be either white enough or bright enough for decent quality.
You don't have to use that lot, but that'd best.
Or you could pay someone to do them for you

How much am i looking at paying? How long would 1 item take? How many could i get done in a day :/

Set up would probably take 10/20 minutes depending if you are chatting or by yourself. Then its dependant on how quickly you can change the mannequin.
To be honest, by the sounds of it you are better off getting someone in who has the kit i.e. camera, backdrop, hot lamps etc, and you help them out to speed up the time.

Difficult to know how long it'd take. Might be 30 for the first item, but 2 minutes for the next.
If you wanted to really hammer through them get a couple of mates in to help prep the next manequine.
How much stuff have you got to do?
I'd do it for about £30 an hour, minimum 3 hours.

I have a whole shop to do, not sure on the amount of items atm. I can find out shortly.

Beds/Cambs area.
I usually use a studio in Luton which is my preferred option, but I guess I could get a studio hired anywhere....
