Hi all, i was wondering how easy it would be to convert my X reg corsa 1.2 to a c16xe? I am already familiar with engines and have purchased the c16xe along with all the bits and pieces (ECU, diveshafts etc.), i was just wanting to know if it is a straight swap? or is there modification needed because of the age difference?
Cheers.

Nope, straight swop. I assume you've got mounts, chip, key and transponder?

No i haven't got mounts i was gonna buy some second hand for a 1.6 sport, i think they're the same mounts as a c16, and im not sure about the chip, key and the transponder, i'll have a look.
Cheers!

c16xe hasnt got transponder or chip so you wont need them.
you will also need a 1.4/1.6 radiator and pipes

if its an X reg, I would assume its a 1.2 16v? so the loom will need to be pulled through into the drives foot well.

Its a straight swap mate, but the loom is different because the C16 uses a AFM and the x16/x14 uses MAP

shouldnt need too change the shafts and hubs, the 22 spline refer too shaft splines not the joints.
