Like I'm sure someone has told you it's impossible to take the window out, it'll never go back in the same, it'll never be water tight, book it into Mark at VAG Specialist and he'll charge you the earth to do a job that you can do yourself but for some unknown reason he'll do it better.,

You laugh but it's true, I did the AC compressor and the door lock on mine and SCN told me to book it into some VAG specialist in the north. I wouldn't be able to do the AC compressor because there is a special VAG tentioner that I would need a special VAG tool to undo and I shouldn't take the window out for the reason above. My car never turned into the sieve funnily

I found taking the ac compressor and windows out easy, probably always is when you know you don't have to put it back together!

Just blew another hose away to investigate and see what it is. Was away to overtake a forklift and floored it in 2nd and pop. £214 for a turbo hose kit and adapters from sfs silicon hoses. If its another hose could be fmic time cause im nae forking out for more oem hoses!

Take them all off, clean them all up (as there will be loads of oil in them) put a few layers of PTFE tape around the metal ends and re-install

Was the same one that came off. Cant think how it came off as was all clean and I made sure it was on properly aswell. Car started to spin as I floored it so maybe that added to it with the movement? Ptfe tape the metal part with the lugs aye?

Didnt replace clips, think this could be the problem but iv bent the clips in tight before fitting them incase theyve been stretched. Took hose off from turbo to intercooler inlet and cleaned and refitted with ptfe tape. Just trying to reach up and get the bloody clip onto the turbo pipe. Pain in the arse, and grit keeps falling and getting in my eyes

My ibiza was sound as a pound! None of my boost pipes ever came off except the one on to the IC, apart from that I don't think my Mk4 had any problems (except worn bushes)

My only problems have been bushes, pass side door latch (under warranty for both) then this boost hose issue. Hopefully sorted now. Id been giving it some stick yesterday and it never moved then all of a sudden did today
