Havent posted here for a long long time. Im a taxi driver up here in the north east. Amazes me that practically every fare thinks all taxi drivers are loaded. If I was I wouldnt be working 14-16hrs a day 7 days a week. Typical rent for a cab here is £250 week, then diesel and cleaning ect. Plates cost upwards of £25k to buy and cabs (eurotaxis and doblos) cost from £10k to £25k to buy new and need repalcing every 4-5 years on average. Taxi driving is on its arse as are most convenience things are atm.
