The gf's old man was warned by his doc of high blood pressure about a year ago that if he didnt change he was running a high risk.

Since then he has lost shit loads of weight, rows 6 times a week, trains in the gym with me twice a week, changed his diet, gets out the office during the day and now is blood pressure is lower than mine

Do you get much excercise ? Eat healthily ? Smoker ?

I'd get myself booked in with the doctors if I were you as there can be any number of reasons why you might have high blood pressure - it could be genetic, it could be caused by an underlying condition, lifestyle/diet etc. etc.

high blood pressure can be caused by being nervous at the docs, the walk from the car or what you have just eaten

if you feel fine you probably are fine

You can buy a blood pressure monitor from your local chemists.

Most GP offices will have a self service machine that measures your blood pressure, your height, weight and body fat percentage or BMI in the reception.

Ideal blood pressure is 120/80 btw. Diet/lifestyle/lack of exercise/anxiety can all contribute toward high blood pressure. 140 for a systolic reading isn't too bad I would have thought and wouldn't affect you, but I won't argue with a gp a dystolic(bottom number) of 140 though and you'd be worried.

Why ? I very rarely go to docs and inless its very urgent i am sort of person that leaves it to go. I think a full medical is a good thing and its all over and done with in one appointment

It means that a man checks your penis for defects. I guess it depends on what kind of medical you have though.
