Hi to all, I am a new member.
I own a Opel Corsa 1.2 8v and im currently planning to replace the standard 4 - 2 - 1 manifold into a 4 - 1 manifold.
I heard that generally there will be a gain of about 15bhp? But how much will my 1.2 really gain exactly? Has anybody done this before?
thanks

6% is average, so that would be about 2-3 bhp.

Only?
Btw i already have removed my catalytic converter and fitted a sports exaust and replaced the standard air filter to a sports simota air filter.
So if i change the manifold I would gain how much in total?
thanks.

i think u may be confused mate. ur not swapping a 4-2-1 for a 4-1, ur putting a 4-2-1 in.
4-1 is what the corsa's come with as standard, and on the 1.2 8v, exhaust flow is absolute crap, so ur making a good choice putting the 4-2-1 on.
Increases wise, with ur filter and zaust on, ur looking at bumping the power up from 45 to bout 52-53bhp max.
However, have u got 16"s or 17"s on? coz this will just drain it all

I've taken a close look to the standard manifold and it seems to be a 4 - 2 - 1 system. My corsa was manufactored in 1995.
I've got 15"s 195/45 tyres.
