Im going to answer this from a different angle for once as was thinking about this the other night.

Imprezas understeer like a motherfucker from the factory so that your average driver does not plant it into a ditch.

EVO's are much more pin sharp on handling and the average driver would die but your black ass is saved by AYC.

Sorry I cant be arsed to give a serious answer to this question anymore but thought this was an "out of the box" view

people managing to bend cranks or destroy them with 320bhp are either idiots or unlucky, as seth stated the standard cranks are good for 500bhp , not quite sure about 900

snapped and bent cranks and wtf does it matter what HP the engine is? if somethings broke its because somethings wrong with the build not the power it was pushing

so why dont people run 1000bhp on standard internals......because it will break.

parts can only take a certain amount of power before they break so your post was pointless.

engine have weak points. the evo engine is the factory rods which will only do 400ft/lb of torque so what your saying it that if i run over 400ft/lb it wont break because of the power its running but the way the engine was built

Love the typical scooby talk and i can probably guarantee that people that have commented on them hasnt even owned one!

Had both subaru and evo and both have faced no problems, you look after them they will look after you!

there both good cars and the only reason scooby gets a bad name as people that who has them half the time cant bloody look after them! no service, running crazy boost without mapped, running shit fuel ect!

i know of one scooby running 1bar, service every 3k and is on 178+ thous miles and original engine, only parts that have seen a change is turbo!
