Just after abit of info really

Economical?
Parts needed for conversion?
Power delivery in them?

Had or driven pretty much every other engined corsa but these, i know engines can be had cheap and im machanically minded so conversion wont be hard to do.

had one in a corsa a while back. wouldnt say there that much difference over a 1.6 corsa apart from top end speed. if your going to do it try get the seh 130bhp engine or seh top end . you will need 22 spline gsi shafts with cav 1.6 mk2 inner cvs, gearbox spacer and extended linkage, and driver side conversion mount. or you could run an early gm astra 1.7 d flywheel with nova gte clutch so you can keep your smallblock gearbox/shafts and just have to change driver engine mount

join up to vaux extreme, alot of info on there about these engines also how to turbo them.

If you went fast show the yellow mk2 astra and the black tigra with js motorsport on them are brothers who run the site iirc.

Weigh pretty much the same as a XE, Same amount of work to fit and not many tuning options (vs XE)

i was under the impression that the 8v was lighter and easier to work with than the 16v.

Theres someone selling and SEH engine on vaux extreme atm aswell. only done 40k

They are both bigblock and share the same block (Just different crank/conrods/pistons), So the conversion is pretty much the same.

8v will be easier to work on, but its still heavy.

IMO 8v stuff wants to be scrapped, Old technology

Totally disagree .. Mines has a chipped ecu , 4 branch , full stainless , kent cam , filter, and an f16 box and pulls really well . Surprises alot of things tbh .

8valves are 10x more reliable than any xe for example in my opinion and very cheap to fix if anything does go wrong . . For example I got parts from the scrappies off a frontera so the parts are widely available
